Kids CrossFit

We’ve taken the very same philosophy and methods that make CrossFit so popular and optimized them for young minds and growing bodies. In addition to being a great way to burn steam, CrossFit Kids offers a number of important, lasting benefits:

  • Fun!  Classes make the critical link between fun and physical activity – no technology required.
  • Fitness!  Kids gain important basic physical skills that serve them today and become the groundwork for a lifetime of sports and recreational activity.
  • Strength!  The stronger and more coordinated kids are, the more likely they are to stay safe and avoid injury in all they do.
  • Nutrition!  Early exposure to the basics of good nutrition fosters a positive attitude toward eating well.
  • Discipline! Evidence suggests active kids sleep better, eat better, are more scheduled and have an easier time focusing.

As with CrossFit for adults, the emphasis is on developing comprehensive, practical fitness we can take onto the playing field or into our daily lives. Kids classes, like adults classes, are high-energy and always varied. They’re also a lot of fun, incorporating plenty of play and healthy competition. Movements and exercises are taken from a wide variety of different sports, including weightlifting, gymnastics and various endurance activities. All are modified specifically for kids, aimed at building fitness in 10 key areas: cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, power, speed, flexibility, agility, accuracy, balance and coordination.
