I have 2 Plusnet ADSL connections. 1 Business and 1 Residential sharing the same physical line to the premises. For almost a month now both my lines have been experiencing random disconnects, sometimes several times a day, other times it remains stable for 2 or 3 days. I live in a rural area and my BT sync speed is normally 2mb. However I notice that my modem syncs at wildly differing speeds each time it reboots. Sometimes I goes as high as 3.5mb, other times 2.2mb. It never manages to remain running at the higher rate long enough for me to get the higher BRAS profile from BT. I have checked the routers (both of which are Draytek 2820N's) and they are not being effected at the same time. They both have dedicated i-plates fitted with the ring wires removed. Looking at the modulation reported by the modems the residential circuit seems to be on ADSL 2, whilst the business one is still ADSL 1 (G.DMT). I have today invested in a Netgear router modem which I know uses a different chip internally, but this is also syncing a random rates and has already lost connection this afternoon.

Working from home and providing remote support world wide I can really do with a stable connection as there is nothing worse than loosing connection to a customer site half way through an upgrade.

I've logged the problems and gone through the Plus net fault diagnosis system, but the results came back as Inconclusive. The BT speed tester website is not very helpful as the chance that I'll be running the test when I get a dropout is very unlikely, and between these drop-outs the line is working OK.

Any help much appreciated.
Suggestions for my hamstring?

I think through overwork or overstretching I somehow damaged my hamstring 2 weeks ago. I noticed it was very tender and the slightest bit of stretching clued me in that this wasn't the overage muscle soreness. I decided to give it a complete rest last week (no Crossfit, no yoga), just some fairly easy bike riding.

Obviously, I'd like the quickest recuperation time possible, as falling away from working out & doing Crossfit doesn't sit right, but at the same time, I'm nervous I'll keep straining it in class.

Any suggestions on how to navigate this? After the week of rest it feels somewhat improved, but I'm not sure if working out will aggravate it again.

Thanks for any help!
Today I was looking around youtube and found some videos on self defense and it lead me here. Though I currently live in Wisconsin and didn't know were this was located but I figure, Sign up anyways. Never know what you might learn.

I had a Incident a few months back. I was helping a friend move out of a house to her grand parents farm. She got into it with some woman there and I went in to try and stop them from fighting. Before i could even get between them, some guy came up behind me and tried to do a rear naked choke on me. Managed to pull me back a few feet before I got a hold of his wrist and twisted it from my neck.

To make a long story short, the cops were called but I didnt get arrested or even a ticket. but sense then ive been looking into Self Defense when I have managed to grab a minute.

If you know of any kind of Classes here in Wisconsin that would be great.

Hey All,

Had my first class today, wow! I will definitely be back. That was great!

Got a question for you all, can someone explain the Belt Tests and how things are structured?

Also, in class today, I noticed that about half of the students were not wearing shoes, is this better?

Thanks
Had a great time training this past Saturday and Sunday with John and Rory. A big thanks to F & F for arranging the weekend. It's Tuesday and I am still sore! Anyway, both men brought a lot to the table for me both as a student and as an instructor of martial arts....
