Post here if you're interested in attending a fight class. I, personally, want very much for this class to happen.
Here's the info:
There will be very little instruction & lots of hitting each other. Not pads. We will hit each other. The goal is not to injure each other & aggression that leads to anyone intentionally injuring their partner will not be tolerated.
Don't know yet if head gear is required, but its definitely recommended. You will absolutely need boxing gloves, mouthpiece, and shin guards. These will be required. Both males and females would be wise to wear groin protection - this is Krav Maga, after all.
Level 1 students don't usually spar, but we're probably going to let level 1 students attend on a per case basis. You aren't required to be a sparring expert, or even any good at sparring at all. You just have to be willing to try. But as level 1 students generally have not been exposed to blocking kicks they may be doing hands-only sparring for a while.
Live sparring is one of the BEST ways to try out your skills and see where you need to improve, and what you're real strengths are. So if you come, come to fight! It's fun, I promise!
Questions? Comments? Concerns? Interested? Post it all here.
Hmm, well, I'm not sure. I assume you're just talking about the fight class - to take Krav you'd have to sign up for Krav classes. I'll find out today & post here. Do you have other martial arts experience?
Okee dokee, y'all, Fight class will be held on Wednesday nights at 7:30. It will be added to the schedule in October, when the rest of the schedule changes happen. No, I do not know what those changes will be.
Boxing gloves & a mouthpiece are required, shin guards & a head guard may be required, but if they're not I strongly recommend you have them anyway.
Level 1 students will be admitted to this class on a per-person basis only. Heath has the last word on this, so I recommend you ask him if you are a level 1 student and want to attend.
Sadly, this is not a good time in the schedule for me, so I won't be there every week, but I will be there as often as I can! Have fun, y'all!!
Yeah, me too! Heath is off teaching soldiers right now, he is the only one teaching this class, so we'll only be doing it when he's in town. I think he's coming back this weekend, will contact him to make sure & post here.
