Thats a great resource, thanks for posting. Have you tried it by now? Of course the best are preemptive measures such as chalk but personally I found that it doesnt really help much. Weightlifting gloves are usually better at preventing blisters. As with anything though, one shouldnt overdo things.

Thanks, I am glad you liked the information. I haven't tried the concoction yet, but plan to next time this happens. When I found this article, I was on the healing end of the blisters, so it really was a little too late. Before then, I had used the chalk, too, but I think it's so hot in the box this time of year, that the extra sweat you put out counteracts all the chalk you put on your hands...I dunno, just my opinion.

Before then, I had used "New Skin" Liquid Bandage, and let me tell you it stings like a mutha! It did seem to help the healing process, but you constantly had to administer a new coat because of hand washing, showers, etc. And each time, the sting doesn't get better.

I haven't been to the box this week, trying to nurse a bad shoulder back to health, but hoping to get back into it by next week. I miss CrossFit! It's like crack!

Thanks for the post and let me know if you ever try it, I would love to know if it works. smile
