Kids Krav Maga

Originally developed by the Israeli Army, Krav Maga has quickly become one of the most popular self-defense and fitness systems practiced today.  Now we’ve taken everything unique about this highly practical, easy-to-learn form of self-defense and modified it specifically for young ones. Krav Maga Kids isn’t only fun, it offers tons of other potential benefits – all aimed at building safe, healthy, confident kids!

  • Safety!  Kids are less likely to be bullied or intimidated by strangers when they’re equipped to defend themselves.
  • Confidence!  Self-defense skills and fitness, taught in a supportive class environment, can help boost self-esteem.
  • Healthy Choices!  Early exposure to the benefits of staying active and eating right can help lay the foundation for a lifetime of healthy living.
  • Fitness! An emphasis on truly comprehensive fitness – strength, endurance, coordination – provides a solid basis for all sports and activities.
  • Social Skills! Working with partners and in groups cultivates good social skills and good sportsmanship.

Just like Krav Maga for adults, our program for kids emphasizes real-life self-defense skills, conflict avoidance, physical and mental preparedness.  No rituals, no katas, no nonsense.

We present it all in kid-appropriate situations.  We take on issues such as bullying, peer pressure and negotiating a wide variety of other threats. Kids will learn how to verbalize, set boundaries and, if necessary, use newly acquired self-defense skills.

Krav Maga is focused on self-defense.  We place constant emphasis on the difference between being offensive and defensive.  In Krav Maga, conflict avoidance is always the objective. In fact, experience tells us that students tend to fight less as they replace insecurity with authentic self-confidence and discover a new, healthy way to reduce stress.
