Meet Our Instructors
TC Connor
A 30 year veteran of the Austin Police Department, TC Conner is a law enforcement instructor and assistant Force Training instructor. Now that the Austin Police Department has officially adopted Krav Maga as their training style, TC teaches at the Police Academy, as well as holding informal law enforcement classes here at Fit and Fearless. TC says he loves the camaraderie he has found here at the school, plus the fact that “you get into shape as well as learning technique”. Ever modest, TC also notes that he likes that “the teachers always have time to answer my questions.” Seriously, if you are the one who has questions, TC would be an excellent person to supply the answers!
Heath Jones
Krav Maga instructor Heath Jones is a lead law enforcement and military instructor. In addition to Krav Maga military certifications and a Kinesiology degree from the University of Texas, Heath also holds a Modern Army Combatives certification, and has worked extensively training Special Forces operatives and counter-terrorism teams. Heath appreciates students who come to class with a good attitude and aren’t afraid to ask questions. He says that even if you can’t do the technique yet, you should always try hard: “If you mess up, do it at 100 miles per hour.”
Dr. Jonci Jensen, yoga instructor
Dr. Jonci Jensen, our yoga instructor, received her Naturopathic Medical Doctorate from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, and also holds a BS in Biopsychology and Cognitive Studies from the University of Michigan. She studied yoga under the master, B.K.S. Iyengar. Jonci’s classes quickly became very popular due to her fun attitude toward her students and her “down & dirty” teaching style. She says, “You want to kick your opponent in the eye? Use yoga to increase your flexibility, strength, balance, and reduce your risk of injury.”
Conor Brantley

,

MMA and Krav Maga instructor Conor Brantley is a former professional MMA fighter and is also experienced in karate, tai chi, praying mantis kung fu, Brazilian jiu jitsu, and wrestling. He has studied under MMA great Bas Rutten, and is an assistant Force Training instructor. Though Conor coaches two amateur MMA fighters, he enjoys teaching students at all levels of experience, especially ones who “listen with an open mind, and are patient and willing to experiment.”
Mark Jones
Krav Maga and Force Training Instructor Mark Jones has trained in Krav since February 2007. He holds a 4th degree black belt in Kenpo, and has trained extensively in Kyokushin, Judo, Jiu Jitsu, and Boxing. He was a U.S. Army Captain in Desert Storm, earning several medals, including the Bronze Star for Valor. With all his experience in a broad variety of combat training, what Mark values about Krav Maga is, “you can get someone to be able to defend themselves so much faster in Krav.” In his students, Mark values mental toughness, heart, and a never-quit attitude.
