Shelby W. on Road to Junior Olympics
Shelby Westbrook, 15 year old CrossFit member of Fit and Fearless, is on her way to the 2011AAU Junior Olympic games in New Orleans, LA.
In preparation for the upcoming 2011 Junior Olympics in August, Shelby has been training with Fit and Fearless’ CrossFit coach, Eric Pittman. Through Eric‘s expertise and knowledge, he has customized a sport specific regimen designed to gain the maximum benefits for the shotput and discus thrower.

Who would water my fish?
"Crossfit makes me miserable. Everything aboutit. The running, the jumping, the lifting, the pushing, the sweating, the
stretching. the lunging, the dipping, the kipping, the tire-flipping, the
pulling up high and the squatting down low. I want to die halfway through every
workout. Still, it’s not all awful. I can lift many heavy objects above my
head now that I couldn’t before, and I am very, very close to being able to
touch my toes. Plus, looking in the mirror is much more pleasant than it used
to be. Actually, that's the only real problem I have with crossfit: that it puts me
in serious danger of getting frozen in my own reflection like some modern-day
Narcissus, lost for eternity in muscles I never even
knew I had. And if that were to happen, who would water my fish?"

Please meet Fit and Fearless’ latest success story, Jennifer Neal! Jennifer is a paralegal who is originally from La Vernia, Texas. I have no idea where that is. But she’s here now, and we are glad!Jennifer was invited to be a bridesmaid in her brother’s wedding, and wanted to lose weight for the event. Always one to take the bull by the horns, she decided to get busy with CrossFit in May to prepare for the September ceremony. In that brief time she lost 50 pounds!
