WARRIOR WOMAN CLASSES

Let's be honest: People who identify as female face different threats in the world than most cis-men!
That's why we developed our Warrior Woman classes.
It's hard to train and push yourself when you're uncomfortable or feel like you're alone in what brings you to class. These classes are open to EVERYONE who identifies as ABCD (All But Cis Dudes).
Warrior Woman Classes focus on three things:
1) developing our power & our voice;
2) addressing real threats that we face (and have often already experienced);
3) building a strong, supportive community of badass women!
Each month, our Warrior Woman Wednesday Krav Maga classes focus on a real-life training theme. Previous themes have included Using your Voice, Setting Boundaries, Home Invasions, Fighting from the Ground, Car Jacking, and much more.
The first Wednesday of the month is FREE and open to EVERYONE who identifies as ABCD (All But Cis Dudes) - just make sure to reserve your spot!
Each Wednesday after that, we continue training with that theme, adding in new techniques. You don't have to attend the first class of the month though - every class is beginner friendly!
We are a women-owned & women-led gym. First and foremost, our focus is on empowering women and growing our community of badass females in Austin! This means that we have a unique approach to self-defense and what brings people through our doors. Each of our owners and instructors have very specific reasons that they began their training in Krav Maga, and you can bet that we each carry our own reasons for wanting to be able to defend ourselves (including past trauma!).
Whether you are looking to defend yourself against a specific threat, need to feel empowered due to past experiences, are part of a minority group that experiences discrimination, or have just heard one too many catcalls, we have a space for you at Warrior Woman.
Our Warrior Woman classes are our most popular classes because there's a magic that happens when you get a bunch of strong, striving women together. Only female instructors lead Warrior Woman classes. We focus on real-life threats, such as being grabbed in a bar, an attack when you're lying in bed, home invasions, how to attack when you're carrying something in your arms (a child, luggage, groceries, your badass boxing gloves, etc.), and how to defend yourself when your attacker is potentially larger and stronger than you.
Warrior Woman classes provide a space where women are encouraged to leave societal expectations at the door and let loose. This means that we discourage staying quiet, uttering unnecessary apologies, and defining your body's value by what it looks like. Instead, we ROAR and make noise, we take up space, and we celebrate what our variety of bodies can do in ways that we never expected.

How do you get started? Sign up for our Trial Pass - it's 2 weeks of unlimited classes so that you can get a feel for the gym. There's no equipment required for Warrior Woman Self-Defense classes. Pre-registration is required though, and Warrior Woman classes fill up quickly, so make sure to sign up as soon as possible! Class registration opens up 1 week ahead of class time.

Many of us have pasts that involve trauma and we understand that learning self defense can be triggering for many reasons (and sometimes very unexpectedly!). You are always free to stand to the side of the room to take a breather or take a lap around the building or even to cry as you keep fighting, no questions asked.
We have all been there, and we are all here to support you.
